Published: 18-Mar-2013

U.S. Bank in partnership with the Affirmed Housing Group has opened the Connections Housing residential scheme, which will provide housing and services to San Diego’s homeless.

Located at 1250 6th Avenue in San Diego, the housing scheme includes the construction and rehabilitation of a 12-storey World Trade Center building.

The property has been transformed into a service and residential community. The project consists of 73 studio units, which will be rented out as permanent supportive housing. It also features two resident-manager units.

The first floor of the building features a primary care and a healthcare centre. On the second and third floors of the building, it features 16 single-room-occupancy units and 134 transitional beds.

It also features a multi-service centre with offices, training and education rooms in the basement. Besides that the building will also offer a full-service kitchen with training facilities.
