Reclaimed wood flooring collection from Stone Source

Published: 22-Dec-2009

US-based decorative surface manufacturer Stone Source has introduced ‘Reclaimed Wood’ collection of flooring, which includes Textured Reclaimed, Engineered Reclaimed and Antique wood flooring solutions.

The Textured Reclaimed wood floor is created by salvaging over 90% of sites' reclaimable materials. Buildings are deconstructed, not demolished, so the majority of the site's material can be salvaged.

Antique Wood Flooring is salvaged from deconstructed buildings throughout the Northeast. Columns, structural timbers, siding and thick decking are deconstructed from floors, walls and roofing systems to provide different types of wood fiber and several grades of material.

Stone Source’s Engineered Reclaimed wood flooring is completely sourced and manufactured in the US. The plywood is produced from domestic species and is FSC- certified. With its thick 3/16 inch wear layer of reclaimed wood, it offers longevity. A low-VOC formaldehyde-free adhesive is used to bind it together. The engineered reclaimed wood flooring is available un-finished or pre-finished and is offered in several species.

This antique wood flooring is made using different wood types such as, Berkshire Pine, New England Hemlock, North Faced Oak, Poplar, American Chestnut or Vertical Grain Heart Pinec for a customizable look. They are available in various lengths and widths for application on floors as well as exterior and interior.

These wood floorings can be built anywhere in the interior such as living rooms and bedrooms.
