On the Level supplies specialist wet floor products to Lansdowne Club

Published: 08-Feb-2012

UK-based firm On the Level has supplied its specialist wet floor products to the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London, UK as part of its £3 million ($4.73 million) facelift.

The project, developed by Merlin Renovations, involved creation of a new advanced gym, squash courts and new changing rooms for men and women. The changing rooms have been equipped with cream tiles, walnut changing cubicles and lockers, floor to ceiling mirrors, as well as wet areas with modern walk-in style showers.

The shower floors have incorporated eight linear channels measuring 700mm and 800mm in length consisting of varying gully options. There are horizontal and vertical outlets to facilitate connection to the 110mm waste pipe. The Athena design of the firm has been selected for the grating. The design sports a bubble-like circular style and a finish in polished chrome.

The showers for ladies have been segregated into four cubicles. The cubicles have been created with toughened glass measuring 10mm for walls. The look of the shower is complemented by installation of blue misted finished doors. All cubicle entryways comprise a low step to contain surplus water. A gully has been centred to the entire shower area to tackle peripheral splashing. The entire shower area dons a sleek contemporary style with use of a grating in square polished chrome, linear drainage channels, and a uniform floor finish.

The mens’ showers have been divided into four spacious cubicles devoid of doors. The cubicles are made of blue misted toughened glass. The area features a central drainage gully, eight showers, linear drains and gullies. The gullies of On the Level have a capacity to handle a maximum of 46 litres of water every minute.

The club also features the Art Deco heated swimming pool adorned with high ceilings and galleried surrounding balcony.
