The chair has been designed by Valencia-based studio Mut Design. Its look has been inspired by one of the first pieces created by the manufacturer in the 1970s. The design of the piece offers a contemporary take on use of rattan which constitutes the furniture. The material is bent up and down the length of the chair's suspended seat to form a shape resembling a cage. The shadow created by the item draws reference to interplay of sunlight with the sea waves.
Nautica offers a light feel visually while also being robust and durable. The chair is ideal for lounging and swaying in both interior as well as exterior spaces such as back patios and front porches.
