Kier Partnership Homes to develop two housing schemes in Birmingham

Published: 12-Mar-2013

Kier Partnership Homes, an arm of UK-based construction company Kier Group, will develop two housing projects in Kings Norton under the Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust (BMHT) framework.

Estimated to cost £13.7 million ($20.56 million), the two projects on Grange Farm Drive and Owens Croft in Kings Norton will deliver a total of 104 new homes for rent and for sale.

Both the developments will feature a mix of flats and two, three and four-bedroom houses. The scheme on Owens Croft will include 23 affordable homes with a further 26 homes for open market sale. The Grange Farm Drive scheme will provide 29 affordable homes and 26 open market sale properties.

Aiming at achieving the Code for Sustainable Homes Levels 3 and 4, the homes will be fitted with A+ rated appliances, water butts and cycle storage. The homes will feature a modern external design, which is a mix of brickwork and render.

The new homes will be delivered in association with BMHT.
