Kennedy Wilson unveils three custom penthouse show homes in Lake Tahoe
Published: 22-Mar-2013
US-based real estate investment and services company Kennedy Wilson has unveiled three custom penthouse show homes designed by Jay Jeffers at The Ritz-Carlton Residences hotel in Lake Tahoe.
The newly designed model penthouses cater to the next-generation of style-savvy Tahoe enthusiasts and provide a modern take on typical mountain vacation homes. These penthouses encompass the entire top floor and a private wing of the third floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe and are dubbed, The Residences.
Jeffers conceptualised the design of these show homes with a young, affluent, design-conscious clientele in mind. The spaces feature a cool gray palette as the backdrop for furnishings that marry industrial and natural materials. A white-oak bed with metal detailing has been paired up with graphic faux-boix wallpaper and a reclaimed-wood club chair. All these offer fresh takes on mountain vernacular. All design elements for the show homes are also tailored to the Tahoe ski-in lifestyle: they are cool, comfortable and never high-maintenance.
Comprised of two-, three-, and four-bedroom penthouses ranging from 1,554 to 3,407 square feet, The Residences are whole ownership homes. Perched mid-mountain at an elevation of 7,000 feet, the ski-in/ski-out residences boast exceptional views of Northstar Mountain, Martis Valley and Mt. Rose, with each penthouse featuring a unique floor plan.
