Frasers signs new property in Shanghai
Published: 06-Nov-2009
Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd (Frasers) signed its new property Fraser Place Shanghai in China, thereby becoming the largest branded international operator of serviced residences in Shanghai.
The 23-story Fraser Place Shanghai, adjacent to the Bund, takes the total number of residences under Frasers’ portfolio in Shanghai alone to 1,271. Taking inspiration for its neo-classical architectural style from the buildings along the famous waterfront Bund, the property offers a large state-of-the-art gymnasium, yoga and steam rooms, game rooms, pool table and an underground pool bathed in abundant natural sunlight.
The lobby will be dominated by a nine meter coffee bar, which transforms into a wine bar by night. Specialty teas will also be available at the tea lounge located on the mezzanine floor.
The 212-apartment property will also offer two exceptionally appointed four-bedroom penthouses featuring private outdoor heated pools, landscaped patios, comprehensive gyms, Jacuzzi and steam rooms, and a customized kid’s playroom.
It is scheduled to open in June 2011 and, on completion, will give Frasers Hospitality a definitive presence in Shanghai’s key business and entertainment districts.
Fraser Place Shanghai is being developed by China Resources Land (Shanghai) Ltd (CRL), the real estate arm of the China Resources Group. It is Frasers Hospitality’s third collaboration with the Hong Kong-based conglomerate. Two other Fraser-collaborations include Fraser Suites Hong Kong and a new property coming up in Beijing.
