Christian Ghion creates Star rugs for NOW Carpets

Spanish firm NOW Carpets has come up with a new rug collection named Star.

The rugs have been designed by French designer Christian Ghion. The design of the rugs draws references from the '70s era with incorporation of star patterns throughout. The pieces, hand-crafted in Nepal, are made of 50% tibetan wool with the remaining portion formed of viscose.

The new rug line offers options of a wide array of sizes to cater to individual tastes of customers. The sizes include 170x240cm and 200x300 cm. The rugs can also be customised in various special colourways. The Star rug range has been displayed at Maison & Objet 2012 held from 20 to 24 January 2012 in Paris, France.
